According to a recent report, to welcome the
2008 Beijing Olympic Games, nearly 500,000 beds in 5,000 Beijing hotels will offer good services for visitors and audiences daily during the Olympic Games.
It is learnt that, there are over 700 star rated hotels in
Beijing at present. And there will be 800 ones before the Olympics opens. In addition, there will be 3,980 hotels that are not star rated serving for the games. Now, many hotels in Beijing are making preparations for the event and some of them have been received the booking for the games from visitors.
As there will be about 600,000 visitors from abroad and 1,100,000 visitors in China will be in Beijing during the August next year, it is better to book the hotels in advance, although the price is higher than the normal standard.
According to Xiong Yumei, deputy director of Beijing Tourist Agency, the preferential price for the standard room (Five-Star Hotel) will not exceed 370 dollars/day. And the normal price will be not higher than 425 dollars/day during the Beijing Olympic Games.
